Pentax K30 Camera Review

Bottom Line:

The Pentax K30 is a good option to go with if you need a rugged basic DSLR with quick autofocusing.

Pentax K30 Video Review:

Video review highlights:

  • Very strong and weather resistance
  • Not the greatest design, looks like bottom of sandal
  • 16 megapixel sensor
  • Nikon has sharper files, prefers d7000
  • Standard video offerings
  • Focus peaking
  • Fast live view autofocus
  • Doesn’t seem to hunt for focus (back and forth focusing)
  • Changing autofocus modes/points can be difficult (time consuming)
  • Sensor based antishake
  • Good dynamic range
  • Not suitable for a sports camera because it only takes about 6 shots then has to stop when the buffer is filled
  • Can take a beating
  • Dynamic autofocus
  • Good value for the money
  • Easy to use
  • Better option than Canon t4i for the value
